The Google Tag Manager allows you to manage and deploy marketing tags (snippets of code or tracking pixels) on your Cococart shop. It simplifies the process of adding and updating tags for analytics, conversion tracking, and re-marketing, and enhances efficiency and agility, enabling faster implementation and iteration of your marketing strategies.
Here's how to set it up:
Navigate to Settings > Website.
Toggle on Google Tag Manager.
Input your Google Tag Manager ID into the given field.
Click Save at the bottom of your screen.
How to Get Your Google Tag Manager ID
Visit Google Tag Manager.
Create an account if you do not have one.
Fill in your account name, country, and container name. Choose "Web" for target platform, then submit.
Locate your Google Tag Manager ID.
Important Notes:
Cococart does not support direct installation of the Google Analytics tracking snippet (e.g.,
gtag.jsor the GA code placed directly on the site.
If a Google Analytics snippet is detected on your store, it may trigger installation errors or warnings.
After adding your GTM ID, you can test if it works by using Preview mode in Google Tag Manager or browser extensions like Tag Assistant.
