Pro subscribers can now print Cococart orders directly from an iOS or Android device via Bluetooth to a compatible thermal printer! 🤩
If you're already on the Pro plan, all you have to do is download the "Cococart for Business" app on the App Store (for iOS devices) or on the Google Play Store (for Android devices).
Printer Compatibility
The app should work with all Bluetooth receipt printers that are compatible with ESC/POS commands. These printers range in cost from US$30 on the low end, to US$500 for high-end brands like Epson and Star Micronics.
Printer models verified to be compatible:
Star Micronics TSP100III Series
Star TSP650II
Epson TM-M30
Xprinter XP-58IIH
XP-58IINT
MRBOSS DIR-58/V (except with the iPad Mini 4)
Black Copper BCP58B2

Print Receipts Automatically
All incoming orders will be printed immediately while the app is open. The time when an order is printed depends on whether it is paid using automated payments:
For payments that are automatically verified (e.g. orders made with credit/debit card, automated PayNow, automated GCash, or PayPal Checkout): The order will be printed immediately when payment is confirmed.
For payments that you manually verify: The order will be printed immediately when placed. The order ticket will show the payment status as "Payment pending".
Additionally, on Android devices, orders will continue to be automatically printed even if the app is closed. This is however not supported on iOS devices.
Print Individual Order Receipts
You can view a list of past orders and print each one individually. This also allows you to re-print past orders if printing fails.
Setup Instructions
1. After you have downloaded the Cococart for Business app, log in to your Cococart account.
2. Go into Bluetooth pairing or discovery mode on your printer. Some printers will enter this mode automatically if you are turning it on for the first time. Otherwise, you may need to press and hold the buttons on your printer to enter this mode. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions.
3. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
4. Click on "Connect" on the app and select your printer.
5. You'll be prompted to print all pending orders which were received after you logged into the app before you connected to the printer.
6. All done! All incoming orders will be printed automatically while the app is open.
Android devices: Incoming orders will also be printed even if the app is closed.
iOS devices: Incoming orders will not be printed if the app is closed.
Common App Instances
Pausing printing
You can pause printing to temporarily stop orders from being automatically printed. When you resume printing, all pending orders that were received while printing was paused will be automatically printed.
On iOS, closing the app pauses printing
On iOS devices, orders will not print automatically while the app is closed. When the app is re-opened, it will automatically print all unprinted orders received in the past 48 hours.
You will receive a phone notification for every new order. Tap on the notification to re-open the app.
On Android devices, orders will continue to print automatically even if the app is closed.
If printer connection is lost
Don't worry! You will see the option to connect to your printer again. You will then have the same option to print all pending orders received when the printer was disconnected.
Troubleshooting
My printer doesn't show up in the list of printers in the app.
Make sure your printer is turned on and in pairing/discovery mode.
Try connecting to your printer directly first through your phone's Bluetooth settings, then try connecting to it in the app.
I've connected to my printer, but nothing is printing.
Please reach out to us and let us know your printer model so our team can investigate further.
