Why does my shop appear as "Closed"?

Shop showing as “Closed”? It’s likely due to settings like fulfillment hours, product availability, or missing payment setup.

Seeing your shop marked as “Closed” can be confusing—especially when you’re ready to take orders. This usually happens due to a few common settings that need your attention, such as fulfillment hours, product availability, or payment setup.

If you're seeing that your shop isn't live yet, here are a few things you can check:

There are no active products

If you have products in your shop or may have recently set products inactive, check that at least one has been toggled on in your Products page:

All dates are blocked on the Calendar dashboard

If you've enabled the Fulfillment dates for your shop, be sure to check that you didn't block all the dates in the next 3 months on your Calendar:

The available dates in your calendar are outdated.

You may have set available dates in the past and forgotten to change them. If the current or future dates aren't included in that range, then your shop will be closed.

No worries, though. This is easy to fix! All you need to do is correct the available dates on your Calendar page.

In the example below, the year set is 2023. Just set it to the current year and the dates you want your shop to be open, then your shop will be open for orders:

No fulfillment method is enabled

At least one fulfillment method (e.g., delivery, pickup, or shipping) must be active for your shop to open. Go to your Fulfillment settings and make sure at least one option is turned on.

Your shop is in Private mode

If a shop is set to Private mode, it can only be accessed through a private link with a password. The public link for your shop will display it as closed. All you need to do is turn off Private mode, and your shop will be open right away!
