To enhance your revenue and ensure that delivery costs are covered, you can easily add delivery fees to your customers' order totals. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Go to the Fulfillment page under Settings.

  2. Scroll to the Delivery section. Select Quote after order under the Delivery Fee.

3. For more information, you can also add Instructions to customers so your customers can see comments regarding delivery before checkout.

Here's what it'll look like in your store:

4. Click Save to set your changes live!

For manual payments, here's how to update your receipt once you collect delivery fees separately:

  1. Once you receive an order, calculate the fee based on the address submitted.

  2. Head to your Orders page and click on your customer's order.

  3. Click the Edit button to update your customer's order total.

  4. Scroll down to the Items section and update the amount then click Save.

  5. Set the order as Approved.

  6. Open the order again and click the Receipt button to send your customer a copy of their updated receipt.

If you already approved the order before updating the total, you can still edit it. Simple repeat Step 3 onwards. You'll automatically be asked if you want to resend a receipt to your customer:

🚩Limitation

This method only applies to orders paid with manual payments such as bank transfers, cash, and custom payments. You will not be able to edit orders paid via automated payments like credit cards.

To collect delivery fees on orders paid through automated payments, contact your customer directly with a quote or invoice.
