Additional questions allow customers to provide specific details or preferences, which allows you to tailor their shopping experience according to their individual needs.

You can use this feature to have your customers agree to your shop's Terms and Conditions, to have them confirm if they met the minimum spend, or any other question you'd like to ask them after they've added their items to their cart!

Here's how to set it up:

  1. Log in to your admin dashboard and head to your General page under the Settings tab:

  2. Click on the Customize your order form section

  3. Scroll down to the Custom questions section and click on "Add custom question". You can then add your own question/s and even include descriptions to give your customers more context then set the answer type.

You can add as many questions as you want. Just click on Add custom question if you need more info from your customers.

  4. Don't forget to click Save to set your changes live!

What are the different types of answers?

  1. Text input

This will require the user to type in the answer to the question you are asking. This is best for asking if they have any allergies, or if they have any specific requests for their orders.

  2. Multiple-choice

Using this type will allow customers to pick any of the following:

    • One: The user is limited to choosing one among the selections. A description saying "Choose 1" will be shown.

    • Unlimited: The user can select as many options as they want. However, you can still limit the selections of each choice. If you do not want to add any limit, just turn the toggle to the left. A description saying "Choose as many as you like" will be shown.

    • Exact number: The user must select the exact number of selections specified. A description saying "Choose x number" will be shown. If not met, an error saying "Please choose a valid number of items." will be shown.

    • Minimum Number: The user must select as many options higher than the least possible. A description saying "Choose at least x number" will be shown.

    • Range: The user must select options between the minimum and maximum number provided. A description saying "Choose (minimum) to (maximum)" will be shown.
