Cococart now supports a self-serve onboarding flow for Stripe Terminal using the BBPOS WisePad 3 card reader.

Eligible merchants can:

  • Connect or create a Stripe account

  • Add a business location

  • Enable terminal payments

  • Connect supported payment terminals directly from the POS app

The onboarding flow is available on both tablet and mobile POS apps for iOS and Android.

Eligibility Requirements

The Stripe Terminal onboarding flow is only shown to merchants whose business country supports the BBPOS WisePad 3 reader.

If your business country is not supported by Stripe Terminal:

  • The Payment Terminal section will not appear in the Hardware page

  • Terminal onboarding and setup will not be available

You can check Stripe’s supported countries here:

Accessing the Payment Terminal Page

To begin setup:

  1. Open your Cococart POS app

  2. Go to Hardware

  3. Tap Payment Terminal

Depending on your onboarding progress, you will see different setup states.

Step 1 — Set Up Your Stripe Account

If you have not yet connected a Stripe account, you will see a Set up Stripe button like below:

What happens next

  1. Tap Finish Set up on the Payment Settings page.

  2. You will be redirected to the Stripe onboarding flow

  3. Complete your Stripe account submission

After successful submission:

  • You may immediately proceed to add a business location

  • In some cases, Stripe verification may take time, and a waiting state may appear before continuing

Step 2 — Add a Business Location

If your Stripe account is connected but no business location has been configured, you will see a Get started button

Tap the button to open the Add business location screen.

Required fields

You will be asked to enter:

  • Address line 1

  • Address line 2 (optional)

  • Postal code

Notes

  • Country and State dropdowns use ISO-standard values

  • Some address fields may be automatically pre-filled using your Cococart business information

  • You can navigate back from this screen anytime before saving

Saving your location

Tap Save once all required fields are completed.

If there are any issues:

  • Field-specific validation errors may appear

  • Generic page-level errors may also be shown

Step 3 — Connect Your Terminal

Once your business location is successfully saved:

  • The terminal connection state will appear

  • An enabled toggle will be shown at the top-right of the card

  • You can continue using the existing terminal connection flow available in Cococart today

At this stage, you can pair and connect your supported Stripe Terminal device.
Follow the guide here.

Refreshing Your Onboarding Status

In some cases, onboarding updates from Stripe may take a few moments to sync.

If your screen does not automatically update:

  • Swipe down to refresh the page

  • The latest valid onboarding state will then be displayed

Examples:

  • Stripe account completed → Add business location state

  • Business location completed → Connect terminal state
