The Cococart POS Terminal makes it easy to accept payments from tap, chip, or swipe cards, using Stripe's BBPOS WisePad 3. It is compatible with both iOS and Android and can be used in various countries.
Here’s a quick guide to get you started:
1. Reach out to our support team with your shop location so that we can pair the device.
2. Turn on the payment terminal by pressing the power button on the right side.
3. Go to the Hardware tab and click Payment Terminal.
4. Move the toggle Payment terminal and wait for the Bluetooth to detect the terminal. Once detected, click on the name of the device to connect.
5. You can then go back to the Payments Page to see that the terminal is connected and accepting payments is enabled.
This is how it would appear on the checkout page:
This screen will appear as the system waits for the user to tap or insert the card:
There are 3 ways you disconnect the terminal
On the Payment Terminal Page, tap the 3 dots beside the name of the device. You can then select Disconnect.
Move the Payments terminal toggle to the left.
Conveniently exit and close the app.
New WisePad 3 Pairing Process (Effective October 13, 2025)
Starting on or after October 13, 2025, Stripe will release a software update for all WisePad 3 readers. After this update, your staff will need to follow a new process when connecting a WisePad 3 to a new POS device.
How to pair a WisePad 3 after the update
Start the pairing process through your Stripe Terminal integration.
Verify the 6-digit code that appears on both devices to ensure they match.
Confirm the connection first on the WisePad 3, then on your POS device.
📝 Important Notes
If your WisePad 3 was already paired with a POS device before October 13, 2025, you can continue using the old pairing process. The new steps will only apply when pairing new devices after the update.
The payment terminal makes 3 notification sounds when used.
2 beeps after successful connection.
1 long beep if disconnected.
1 beep after the card is tapped.
