Businesses like restaurants often present their customer's bills at the end of their dining experience instead of having them pay upfront — this is what you call an open ticket.

Creating an open ticket is similar to adding sales to your POS, with the exception that you'll be saving the orders for payment at a later period.

This feature is useful for establishments that would like to allow their customers to add to their previous orders without worrying about paying upfront after every order.

How do I enable the open tickets feature?

  1. On your POS, Click More. Scroll down to Settings and then select Features.

  2. Enable Open tickets by swiping to the right.

  3. You can now accept Open Tickets!

How do I create an open tab?

  1. On your New Orders tab, create a new order ticket by adding the first product that your customer orders.

  2. Add a product to a ticket either by swiping through the category tabs at the top or using the search function on the POS to find products faster.

There is a difference between adding a product without any variants, and a product with variants:

    No variants

The product is directly added to the tab

    With variants

A modal showing the variants will be opened, as well as any customization options you added to the product selection

  3. Once you've added a product, tap Save. You'll be prompted to add an order name (e.g., Table 3, blue shirt, etc.), then tap Save order once you're done. This will create an open tab which you can view by going to Orders > Open.

  4. To view your open tabs, all you need to do is click on the Orders tab at the bottom, then select "Open Tickets" at the top of the Orders page:

  5. When the customer is ready to pay, tap on their open tab and tap Pay to settle the payment.
