How do I issue refunds on the POS?

Issuing refunds using the Cococart Point of Sale (POS) system involves a few easy steps.

By refunding a credit card transaction on the POS, you help maintain your shop’s financial accuracy, keep your customers happy, and stay compliant with banking regulations. Please remember that this guide is for credit card payments only, as we're still working on ways to automatically refund other types of payments.

Here is how you can issue a refund using the Cococart POS:

  1. Open the order you wish to refund by going to the Orders Tab.

  2. Once you select the order, you will have the refund option under the More tab.
    Click the refund option to proceed.

3. After refunding the transaction, the order will show as canceled.

🚨Voiding a credit card payment transaction on the POS will automatically trigger a refund to the credit card. There is no time limit for processing refunds for in-store purchases.
