This feature lets you collect automated payments for orders created directly from your Cococart dashboard. Instead of chasing payments manually, you can share a secure payment link with your customer and let them pay online.
When will you see this option?
You’ll see the Collect automated payment option when saving a new order from the dashboard if you have at least one automated payment method enabled.
If no automated payment methods are enabled, the order will be created the same way it works today.
How do I send payment links?
Follow the steps on how to create the order from this article.
Make sure that the status of the order is Unapproved for it to appear as Pending. After Saving, this prompt shall appear:
If you've mistakenly clicked skip, it's fine. You can still create the link below the order:
To share the link with your customer, scroll down and click the copy icon next to the payment link.
5. If the customer prefers to settle this outside the platform and just collect manually, you can mark the order as Paid from the drop-down like this:
Then you'll be asked to confirm again by a prompt:
NOTE: Manually paid orders will not be included in the Earnings Page.
What will my customers see?
When they open the email, here is what they will see:
Once they click Pay Now, they will be routed to the payment screen showing the Order summary for review and allowing them to select which mode of payment they prefer:
Once completed, the user will receive a receipt for confirmation as per usual.
If a user visits the link again after payment completion, they will see this window:
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the order status before payment?
No. Orders created with automated payment should always be set to Pending until they’re paid or rejected.
Can I resend or share the payment link again?
Yes. You can copy and share the payment link anytime from the dashboard.
What if the customer never pays?
The order will stay in Pending status until you mark it as paid or reject it.
